Raised in Kansas City, Mo., by a father who was a journalist and a mother who was an artist, it’s no surprise that creativity and a love for marketing were innately instilled. Lauren graduated from Drake University (Go Bulldogs!) with a degree in graphic design and advertising. Her passion for new challenges led her to become a Fulbright Scholar in South Korea, after which she moved to Washington, D.C., and Boston, where she worked at a boutique marketing agency. Eventually, she settled in San Diego.

In 2013, she founded Out & About Communications. More than 10 years later, the original vision remains — to build an agency that treats clients like family and delivers work that wows.
